Privacy Policy

Overview

TuneDude is a chromatic tuner app. We designed it to work with minimal data handling. We do not require account creation and we do not collect personal profile information.

Data TuneDude processes

Microphone audio (real-time): TuneDude uses microphone input to detect pitch. Audio is processed on your device and is not uploaded to our servers.

Local app settings: TuneDude stores settings on your device, such as A4 reference, selected temperament, tone settings, and whether Pro unlock is enabled.

In-app purchases

TuneDude offers a one-time Pro unlock. Payments and transaction processing are handled by Google Play Billing. We do not receive or store your full payment card details.

Google may process purchase-related data under its own privacy policy: Google Privacy Policy.

Permissions

TuneDude requests microphone permission to provide tuning functionality. If microphone permission is denied, microphone-based tuning will not work.

Advertising, analytics, and tracking

TuneDude does not run third-party advertising SDKs and does not track users for marketing or profiling purposes.

TuneDude uses Firebase Crashlytics (Google) to collect anonymous crash reports. When a crash occurs, Crashlytics may collect device model, Android OS version, app version, and anonymized stack trace information. This data is used solely to identify and fix bugs. No personal profile information, microphone audio, or user-identifiable data is included in crash reports.

Firebase Crashlytics is operated by Google under its own privacy policy: Firebase Privacy and Security.

Data sharing and sale

We do not sell personal data. We do not share microphone audio recordings with third parties.

Data retention and deletion

App settings are stored locally on your device and remain until you delete app data or uninstall TuneDude. We do not maintain a user account database for TuneDude.

Children and age suitability

TuneDude is suitable for users of all ages. Because TuneDude does not collect personal account information and processes tuning audio locally, we keep data handling minimal for all users.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the app and its local data. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect app or legal changes. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
